1. Payment Processing Services

1.1 Vokarstep as Service Provider

Vokarstep provides payment processing and protection services for transactions between clients and freelancers. We manage payment workflows, secure fund transfers, and facilitate milestone-based payments through our trusted payment partners.

1.2 Payment Gateway Integration

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay, our integrated payment gateway partner. By using Vescur, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service and authorize Vokarstep to process payments on your behalf through their infrastructure.

2. Milestone-Based Payment System

2.1 Payment Structure

Vokarstep facilitates milestone-based payments where projects are divided into agreed stages. Clients fund milestones upfront, and Vokarstep manages these payments securely until work completion is confirmed.

2.2 Fund Protection

When a client makes a payment, Vokarstep ensures funds are protected and managed securely through our payment infrastructure until both parties confirm milestone completion. This provides confidence and trust for both clients and freelancers.

2.3 Dual Approval Process

Payments are released to freelancers only when both the client and freelancer confirm that the work meets agreed specifications. This mutual approval system ensures fairness and quality control.

3. Service Fees and Charges

3.1 Platform Service Fees

Vokarstep charges service fees for payment processing, platform infrastructure, customer support, and secure transaction management. All fees are displayed transparently before you confirm any transaction.

3.2 Payment Gateway Fees

Razorpay payment gateway fees are included in our service fees. These cover payment processing costs, bank charges, and transaction verification expenses.

3.3 Non-Refundable Fees

Service fees are NON-REFUNDABLE as they cover operational costs incurred regardless of transaction outcome, including payment processing, infrastructure maintenance, and administrative expenses.

4. Payment Security and Protection

4.1 Secure Fund Management

Vokarstep manages client payments securely through compliant banking infrastructure and follows Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines for payment service providers. Your funds are handled with industry-standard security measures.

4.2 No Interest on Payments

Payments managed by Vokarstep do not earn interest for users. Any interest accrued on pooled payment accounts offsets operational and infrastructure costs.

4.3 Payment Protection Period

Vokarstep manages and protects payments for up to 180 days for disputed transactions while resolution is pending. This ensures adequate time for fair dispute resolution.

5. Payment Disbursement

5.1 Release Conditions

Vokarstep processes payment disbursement to freelancers when both parties confirm completion, OR after 14 days of client non-response (provided no dispute is raised), OR as determined through dispute resolution.

5.2 Disbursement Timeline

Once approved, payments are processed within 1-3 business days through Razorpay's payout system. Bank transfer completion depends on your bank and may take an additional 2-5 business days.

5.3 KYC Requirements

Users must complete KYC verification with valid bank details before receiving payments. Vokarstep cannot process payments to unverified accounts due to regulatory compliance requirements.

6. Accepted Payment Methods

Through Razorpay, we accept:

  • Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex)
  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.)
  • Net Banking from major Indian banks
  • Digital Wallets
  • EMI options (for eligible transactions)

7. Failed Payments and Retries

7.1 Payment Failures

If a payment fails due to insufficient funds, incorrect details, or bank issues, users can retry the payment. Vokarstep is not responsible for failed payments due to issues with your bank or payment method.

7.2 Auto-Debit Failed Payments

For recurring or scheduled payments, if auto-debit fails, users will be notified to manually complete the payment within the specified timeframe.

8. Disputed Payments

8.1 Dispute Initiation

If disagreements arise regarding work quality or payment terms, either party may initiate a dispute through the platform. Vokarstep will review evidence and make a determination.

8.2 Payment Freeze During Disputes

Payments under dispute are secured and managed by Vokarstep until resolution. Neither party can access disputed funds during the review process.

8.3 Final Determination

Vokarstep's decision regarding disputed payments is final and binding. Payments will be disbursed according to our determination based on evidence provided by both parties.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Reversals

IMPORTANT: Chargeback Policy

9.1 Prohibited Chargebacks

Users agree NOT to initiate chargebacks through their bank or payment provider for legitimate transactions. All disputes must be resolved through Vokarstep's dispute resolution system.

9.2 Consequences

Unauthorized chargebacks will result in immediate account suspension, chargeback fees, and potential legal action to recover funds and damages.

9.3 Valid Chargebacks

Chargebacks are only acceptable for unauthorized or fraudulent transactions. If you suspect fraud, contact Vokarstep support immediately before initiating a chargeback.

10. Currency and Conversion

All transactions on Vescur are processed in Indian Rupees (INR). If your payment method uses a different currency, your bank or payment provider will convert the amount using their exchange rates and may charge conversion fees.

11. Tax Responsibilities

Users are responsible for all applicable taxes on payments received or made through the platform. Vokarstep does not provide tax advice and recommends consulting with a tax professional for your specific situation.

12. Payment Records and Invoices

Vokarstep provides transaction records and receipts for all payments processed through the platform. Users can download invoices and payment confirmations from their dashboard for accounting purposes.

13. Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT: Please Read Carefully

VOKARSTEP IS NOT LIABLE for payment processing delays caused by banks, payment gateways, or force majeure events. Our liability is limited to the actual fees paid to us for the specific transaction in question, up to a maximum of ₹10,000.

14. Modifications to Payment Terms

Vokarstep reserves the right to modify these payment terms, including fee structures, at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
